 Creation of a Publication

Purpose

You use this process to create a publication for a job posting so that you can publish the job posting in a posting channel in a specific period.

Prerequisites

You have already created the job posting that you want published.

Process Flow

  1. In the maintenance view for a requisition, you select a job posting on the Job Postings tab page.

  2. You select the Publications tab page in the maintenance view of the job posting. The system displays a list of the publications that have already been created for this job posting.

  3. You choose the Create function. You define the following data here:

    • You define a reference code . Applicants can submit an application for the job posting using this reference code.

    • You select a posting channel . This contains the receiver who publishes the posting document in a specific medium (for example, newspaper, Internet).

    • You specify the language in which the job posting texts are to be published. The system offers you the languages in which you created the descriptions of the job posting.

    • You determine the start and end date of the period in which the job posting is to be published.

    • You change the status to Released . The publication is published in the specified posting channel.

      Note Note

      You can only release the publication if the associated job posting is also released.

  4. You view the job posting in the Preview . The system displays the job posting with the information that is to be published in the posting channel.

Result

You have created and released a publication. The job posting is now published in the specified posting channel.

If necessary, you can withdraw publications.

Note Note

To be able to withdraw publications, a Publisher program that allows this must be stored in Customizing. For more information, see Wíthdrawing a Publication .
