Screen Control Based on Control Data
If screen control is effected depending on control data, you have the following options:
Replace the standard screen with an alternative screen
You can control the ready for input status of individual screen fields.
You can hide individual screen fields.
There are different types of screen control:
General
Dependant on the employee’s organizational data
Dependant on the subtype for the infotype record.
For this, maintain the value of
Modification group 3
for the screen fields in question in the Screen Painter.
In
Modification group 3
, you assign a value between
001
and
050
to each screen field. Use the same value for screen fields that are modified in the same way. In the case of an input/output field, the same value is used as for the pertinent key word and a long text that may have been displayed. If screen fields cannot be modified using table
Infotype Screen Control
(T588M), assign the value
SPACE
in
Modification group 3
.
You then use table T588M to determine the following:
Whether and which alternative screens are used
How the individual screen fields are modified
