Returnable Packaging Pick-Up
Use
When a customer returns returnable packaging, you can record this transaction in SD by creating a returnable packaging pick-up.
Features
You use order type
LA
(returnable packaging pick-up) as in the SAP standard system.
When goods receipt is posted, the system deducts the corresponding quantity from the returnable packaging stock with the customer and adds the quantity to the stock of the plant to which the packaging is returned.
Note
Your total valuated stock remains unchanged because the returned packaging was part of your stock although in the physical possession of the customer. The transaction is therefore not relevant for billing purposes.
