Different Units of Measure for Cable and Reel Data
Use
The system carries out the reel calculation using the reel data and the specified cable data. You can maintain cable and reel data in different units of measure. The reel calculation is performed using the units of measure set in Customizing for the
Reel Calculation
. The system converts different units of measure in the reel or cable master data into the calculation units specified for the reel calculation.
Prerequisites
In Customizing for the
Reel Calculation
, you have defined the units of measure used in the reel calculation, by choosing
Set Plant Data
, and making the relevant entries under
Calculation Unit
. You must make entries for the following three calculation units:
Length
Dimensions (inner width of reel, outer diameter, core diameter, run-out flange thickness and height, cable diameter)
Weight
