Batch Handling in the WM/PP Interface
Use
For components to be handled in batches, you can specify the point in time at which batches must be determined within sales order processing.
Features
As batch determination must be very flexible in the order, the SAP system has four methods of controlling it. The control is linked to the material and is defined in the material master record in the view
MRP 2,
in the
Batch entry
field. The control indicator determines the following scenarios:

The batches must be entered in the order before posting the goods issue, but not necessarily before releasing. If you are working with pick parts, batches will be determined in the transfer order and the determined batches are then confirmed in the production order/process order via the transfer order confirmation. However, you must post the goods issue manually. If there is no direct reference between the transfer order and the production order/process order (for example, with release order parts and crate parts) you must enter the batches in the production order/process order manually. |
