 Termination of Contract Infotype (0713)

Definition

An infotype that you use to record all data relevant to the expiration of a work contract. This infotype is included within the personnel action Termination of Contract.

Structure

Termination of Contract Type

The termination of contract type is a subtype of this infotype and shows the cause or reason for the contract termination. This data affects the severance pay.

You can create your own termination types in the Implementation Guide (IMG), by choosing Start of the navigation path Personnel Management Next navigation step Personnel Administration Next navigation step Payroll Data Next navigation step Termination Next navigation step Define termination types. End of the navigation path

Employee grouping for termination

This field lets you group employees for calculating their severance pay.

You can define your own employee groupings for termination in the Implementation Guide (IMG), by choosing Start of the navigation path Personnel Management Next navigation step Personnel Administration Next navigation step Payroll Data Next navigation step Termination Next navigation step Define employee groupings for termination. End of the navigation path

Start date seniority

In this field you can enter a date up to which the seniority of the employee is going to be considered within the process of termination.

Notification

In the fields within this group box you enter the date in which the termination was notified and the dates of the notice period. These fields may affect severance pay, for example, if you disregard the corresponding notice period, or just for reporting purposes.

Dates

In the fields within this group box you can enter the last worked day and the last day paid.

Severances

Generic severances

This tab shows the severance models available for the termination type that you have selected. For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Personnel Management, by choosing Start of the navigation path Personnel Administration Next navigation step Payroll Data Next navigation step Termination Next navigation step Define termination types. End of the navigation path

Note Note

Disable all severances of model for termination

If you select this check box, the severances displayed in the Generic severances tab will not be considered by the system, neither for reporting nor for calculation.

Disable severance for model of termination

This check box can be selected for each generic severance (maximum of 10 severances possible). That means, if you select it for a particular severance, this severance will not be considered by the system.

End of the note.

Individual severances

On this tab you can define up to 20 individual severances, in addition to the ones defined as generic ones. For example, you can define special severances which the employer and the employee have agreed on. For this, see the Implementation Guide for Personnel Management, by choosing Start of the navigation path Personnel Administration Next navigation step Payroll Data Next navigation step Termination Next navigation step Verify processes of severances. End of the navigation path After you create individual severances by means of the above mentioned IMG activity, these severances – together with the generic ones – will be displayed in the input help of the corresponding field within this tab.

Note Note

Depending on the regulations of each country, some of the fields mentioned above may not be necessary, so that they are not used in the infotype screen. For this, see the implementation guide, in section Start of the navigation path Personnel Management Next navigation step Personnel Administration Next navigation step Customizing User Interfaces Next navigation step Change Screen Modifications. End of the navigation path

The use of the fields in this infotype may differ according to the requirements of each country. They can be used not only for the calculation of country-specific severance payments, but also for special reporting.

End of the note.
