Material Staging via Outbound Delivery
Purpose
In this process you can group the components from a production order in a handling unit. You pack the components and supply the production supply area with WM/PP material staging.

Prerequisites
In Customizing for Warehouse Management you have selected the delivery as the picking document (see prerequisites in Material Staging of Components with WM ).
Process Flow
You create a production order.
For more information, refer to the Production Orders component.
Create the outbound delivery.
For more information, see Setting up the Interface between PP and WM and Material Staging Process Flow .
You create the transfer order for the outbound delivery (see Create Transfer Order for Delivery ).
You confirm the removal and transfer of the transfer order (see Confirm Transfer Order ).
You post the goods issue to the handling unit. You have the following options:
Goods issue with reference to outbound delivery (see Post Goods Issue with HU via Outbound Delivery ).
Goods issue with reference to production order (see Post Goods Issue with HU via Production Order ).
You set which picking document you want to use as a reference, in the production scheduling profile (see prerequisites in Material Staging of Components with WM ).
