Use

A plant makes a specific quantity of an NF metal available to a vendor. The metal is used to manufacture a finished product; this is the equivalent of subcontracting in the standard system.

Integration

When a material provision is created, the NF metal to be provided by the customer is posted to stock of material provided to the vendor. When an outward posting is made for the provision, the system withdraws the corresponding quantity from the stock of material provided to the vendor.

When you create a material provision, you can specify additional plants that hold stock of material provided to the vendor for NF metal. The vendor may also access the consignment stock of these plants. It is not necessary to create a provision for these plants.

Features

Rate determination key 12 (provision at fixed rate) is available for material provided by the customer. This key supplies a statistical rate for the NF material. The value of the NF metal is stored in the material to be provided.
