 Requesting a Status Change

Purpose

You can use this process to request a status change for a requisition or a job posting. You must request status changes if you do not have the necessary authorization for status changes. You do not have this authorization if you are assigned the Restricted Recruiter role.

Process Flow

  1. Using the assistant for creating a requisition, you can create a requisition or a job posting for a requisition.

  2. Choose the Status tab page to release the requisition/job posting.

  3. The system indicates the status changes for which you require approval.

  4. Specify a status and, if need be, the reason why you want to set this status.

  5. Try to save your entries.

  6. The system informs you that you must get the status change approved.

  7. Select an approver. To do so, the system displays a list of persons who are stored in the Support Team of the requisition and who have the required authorizations for status changes. If necessary, you must assign another person with the relevant authorization to the support team.

  8. The system triggers a workflow which is used to send a request for status change to the approver. The approver receives an automatic e-mail and finds the request in his or her list of status change requests (see also: Workflow for Approving a Requisition or Workflow for Approving a Job Posting ).

  9. Until the requested status is approved, the requisition or job posting remains in the status Draft . Status changes can now only be made by the approver.

Result

You have requested a status change. The recruiter to whom you sent the request will either approve the status change or reject it if necessary. In each case, you receive an automatically generated e-mail informing you of the decision.
