Copying Rules for Characteristic Values

These copying rules enable you to copy characteristic values from an original batch to a stock batch. As a result, you minimize the work involved when entering a goods receipt.

Change batch status

You can use this function to transfer in one step the status ( unrestricted use or restricted ) of the original batch to all batches assigned to this original batch.

This function is an enhancement to the normal batch determination and enables you to find batches that come from the same original batch.

Standard characteristics

For the original batch, you can create standard characteristics relating to the original batch and its plant and material. These are filled by the system and you can evaluate them in customer-specific applications.
