Function documentationData Environment

You can use the Data Environment (NAV_VIEW) component to display objects such as contacts, campaigns, orders or complaints for a business partner and access the transactions used to edit these objects using the context menu or by double clicking.

Integration

The data environment is not created until the customer has been identified in the business partner search or by using Automatic Number Identification (ANI). The data environment is not created for one-time customers due to the long runtime involved.

You can set up fast entry of key business partner data for the data environment. For more information, see Fast Processing of Business Partner Data in the CIC.

If you are using the Business Add-In ISU_CIC_ENV, you can display customer-specific objects in the Data Environment. If you are using the Business Add-In ISM_CIC_NAVVIEW, you can define display variants for the data environment. Prerequisites

You want to display information about a business partner to inform yourself about a business transaction and an object that is associated with this business transaction. You want to display if a business partner has been assigned to a campaign and enter an order for this campaign.

In Customizing, you have created a component profile for the component Data Environment (NAV_VIEW). You have specified here which of the available objects and data for these objects is displayed.

You have used an action profile to assign transaction groups and transactions and defined the methods that can be used to access transactions using the context menu (right mouse click) or by double clicking. The transaction that you assigned to a transaction group first can be accessed by double clicking. All other transactions can be accessed from the context menu.

Note Note

When defining the action profile, the screen for creating an action box configuration profile appears. When creating the action profile, all fields and indicators for defining an action box configuration profile are available.

Features

Displaying Objects

You can display the following objects in the data environment:

  • Sales areas

  • Bank details

  • Contracts

  • Media-mix contracts

  • Contacts

  • Orders

  • Campaigns

  • Billing documents

Most objects are assigned directly below the business partner. This means that objects, such as billing documents or complaints are sometimes displayed without reference to the item that has been billed or for which a complaint has been made.

If you want to display billing documents, you have created the optional index 001 (partner assignments to the business partner for the table 001.

You can use an additional node to display contracts that have been assigned to a customer as a result of a role that is not the contract holder, such as the Beneficiary role, in the same way as contracts that have been assigned to a customer as a result of the contract hierarchy.

Depending on the settings that have been made in Customizing, contracts that belong to a media-mix contract are displayed as sub-nodes for the media-mix contract (value Display Objects) or in conjunction with other contracts for the media customer (value Do Not Display Objects).

Editing Objects

If you want to use the context menu to create a sales or media customer in an additional sales area or a business partner in an additional role, you have assigned the business object IS-M business partner (BUSISM007) to the corresponding transaction in the transaction group Sales Area using the BOR method CreateFast. When you call the transaction, the dialog box for entering business partner data in the Business Partner Search and Processing component appears.

If you want to use the context menu to move the Ad Item Entry, Order Overview in Advertising Management, Order Overview in Media Sales and Distribution components or a component that you have developed to the foreground of the Navigation or Application Area, you have assigned the business object CIC Support Object (BUSISMCIC) to the corresponding transaction using the BOR method EditMAMOrder, DisplayMAMOrder, DisplayMSDOrderList orEventRaise.

If you want to use the context menu to dynamically generate the tab page for accessing BSP applications or another tab page, you have assigned the business object CIC Support Object (BUSISMCIC) to the corresponding transaction using the BOR method StartBSPWorkspace or StartWorkspace. If you have selected the Workspace Lifecycle indicator, the system deletes the tab page generated dynamically when you wrap up the interaction.

If you want to use the context menu to display or change orders in Ad Item Entry, you have assigned the business object CIC Support Object (BUSISMCIC) to the corresponding transaction using the BOR method DisplayMAMOrder or EditMAMOrder.
