To be able to work with the
Query Maintenance
component, a user has to be assigned to a least one role or user group.
To be able to make changes to queries, a user needs authorization for authorization object S_QUERY with the value
Change
(see
Authorizations for the SAP Query
). These change authorizations can be revoked for each individual user of a user group.
You are at the
User Group: Initial Screen.
Enter a name in the
User group
field.
Choose
Assign Users and InfoSets
. You reach the
User Groups: Assign Users
screen.
Enter the names of those users that are to belong to this user group.
Note
If you do not want to enter the names of users individually, choose
. You then see a list of all users with a user master record in your system. Select the user names that you want to assign.Using

You can, using the pushbutton:
Change Authorization, Select All
, give authorization for all users of a user group.
Change Authorization,
Delete All
, revoke authorization for all users of a user group.
By clicking on the checkbox before the name of a user to set or delete the indicator, you can give or revoke change authorization for individual users.
Note
Change authorization can, however, only be revoked, if the user in question actually has a corresponding authorization in the user master record. Checkboxes behind user names that have no change authorization according to S_QUERY are grayed out and cannot be selected.
Choose
Assign InfoSets.
You reach the
User Groups: Assign InfoSets
screen with a list of all InfoSets. Select those InfoSets that are to be assigned to the user group.
Note
You can define queries only for those InfoSets assigned to user groups in which you are active.
Save your entries.
