 Creating Test Equipment as Equipment

Prerequisites

In the Customizing of Plant Maintenance and Customer Service, your system administration has set the production resource/tool indicator for the equipment category Test and Measurement Equipment under Start of the navigation path Master Data for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service Next navigation step Technical Objects Next navigation step Equipment Next navigation step Equipment Categories Next navigation step Define Additional Business Views for Equipment Categories Next navigation step . End of the navigation path

Procedure

  1. On the initial SAP screen, choose Start of the navigation path Logistics Next navigation step Quality Management Next navigation step Test Equipment Management Next navigation step Test Equipment Next navigation step Equipment Next navigation step Create End of the navigation path .

  2. The initial screen for equipment maintenance appears.

  3. Enter the equipment category test and measurement equipment. Enter a key for the equipment or activate the automatic number assignment by choosing Continue .

Note Note

If you want to use another piece of equipment or material as a reference for the test equipment, enter its key in the reference section. You can choose in a dialog box which sub-objects should be copied from the reference.

If you choose Continue , the General Data screen appears.

  1. Enter data as required.

  2. Save the equipment master record for the test equipment.
