You use these functions to create excise duty-specific material master data for the component
Excise Duty
in the material master.
Select material master data maintenance to enter excise duty data in the material master.
In the
Basic Data 1
view, you see the area
Excise Duty
with its three sections:
Client
Company code
Plant
Note
Using the settings in the tax type in Customizing, you can specify which buttons in the material master are released.
You specify a valid duty type at client level.
You must make settings for every material in every company code to which a tax warehouse is assigned if:
You have defined a required entry field in the definition for the tax type on this level
The procurement type schema for the tax type has more than one procurement type
You do not have to enter anything if you do not select the checkbox
Maintain Mat.Mast.CoCd
when defining the tax type. The definition of the tax type determines which fields are displayed and ready for input. The system hides unnecessary fields.
You must enter excise duty material master data for a plant if you want to use excise duty material master data at plant level. This is usually required if the alcohol content of goods stored in certain storage locations in a plant differs from that of goods stored in other storage locations in a tax warehouse.
You cannot make any entries if you do not select the checkbox
Maintain Mat.Mast. Plnt
when defining the tax type. The definition of the tax type determines which fields are displayed and ready for input. The system hides unnecessary fields.
Note
In German spirits tax, you create shrinkage rates at plant level.
Note
The value in the field
Dif.Alco
is only used if the alcohol content of the goods stored in the specified plant differs from the entry made at client level. The system only uses the entry if the field
Valid from
is also filled out.
