Use

You can use this function to display a document and any original application files that belong to it by entering the document number and document type. You can choose the document part and document version from a list.

If you do not know the document number, you can use the search function

The processing functions for documents are also available in the browser in the context menu of a document (see Document Browser ).

You can also display thumbnails in the master record of a document.

Prerequisites

Before you can display a document info record and any original application files that belong to it, the system carries out comprehensive checks.

These include checks for the following authorizations:

Before you can display the original application files, certain technical requirements must be met. You must make certain system settings before you can start an application or display an original application file. You make these settings in Customizing for Cross-Application Components under Document Management → General Data
