Use

The reel calculation determines the optimal reel type for a specified material length and reel category by applying formulas to the cable and reel parameters defined in the material masters. The reel type sequence is required to support automatic reel type determination type in the reel calculation.

Prerequisites

In Customizing for Logistics – General , you have created at least one reel category, by choosing  Reel Calculation Set Plant Data Plant Reel Categories .

Features

In automatic determination of reel type , the system processes the reel types maintained for the reel category in the specified sequence . Consequently, when you define the sequence, you should ensure that the reels are arranged in ascending order of load capacity. The system will not take reel types that are not included in the sequence into account in the reel calculation.

Activities

On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose  Logistics Central Functions Reel Calculation Sequence Reel Types . Depending on your Customizing settings, enter the sequence of reel types for each plant and reel category.

You can branch to Customizing and display the Customizing settings for the Reel Calculation by choosing with the quick info text IMG Reel Calculation: Plant Data .
