 Candidate Services (Web Dynpro ABAP)

As of SAP E-Recruiting 600 SP08, SAP provides user interfaces for internal and external candidate scenarios not just on the basis of BSP technology, but also on the basis of Web Dynpro ABAP.

In this way, you can use interfaces that are based on Web Dynpro ABAP to display candidate services such as maintaining the candidate profile or searching for employment opportunities and then applying for jobs.

The following processes are provided in BSP technology and in Web Dynpro ABAP:

Advantages of Web Dynpro ABAP

  • Latest SAP UI Technology

  • You can use Web Dynpro ABAP to separate front-end and backend for these scenarios, in other words, to run the front-end and backend on different systems. By separating front-end and backend, you can place the front-end outside of your company's firewall and the data in the backend system remains protected behind the firewall.

  • You can use the RECFA LOCFI switch to specify that when candidates are entering their desired work location, they can select in dropdown list boxes only countries, regions, and cities that are stored for the branches in SAP E-Recruiting. In this way, candidates can select only values for which there are actually branches. You make this setting in the IMG activity Specify System Parameters for Web Dynpro .

  • You can use the BAdI Specify Application Configuration for Application Wizard to call different configurations of the application wizard, depending on the relevant job posting.

  • You can use the IMG activity Store URLs for Language-Dependent Data Privacy Statements to store data privacy statements for each of the possible logon languages.

Prerequisites

You have made the settings for the front-end and backend in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for SAP E-Recruiting by choosing Technical SettingsUser InterfacesSettings for User Interfaces with Web Dynpro ABAP .
