 Updating Construction Progress Report Data

After creating or changing a construction progress report, the following system activities follow: The system

  • Creates a construction progress report document and assigns a document number

The link between the construction progress report header data and the work and contract values belonging to it is created using the construction progress report number.

  • Updates the work values as statistical actual revenues in the CO version for work values that you defined in Customizing.

For every work value a line item is created in Controlling (CO). In the line item, the delta value is updated for the relevant cost element in the construction progress report period.

The delta value is calculated from the difference between the entered work values and the sum of the delta values of the line items created to date for the cost element and WBS element.

Delta value = cumulative work value entered - ∑ delta values to date

  • Updates the contract values as planned revenues in the CO version for the contract values that you defined in Customizing.

For every contract value a line item is created in Controlling (CO). In the line item, the delta value is updated for the relevant revenue element in the period of the construction progress report.

The delta value is calculated from the difference of the entered contract values and the sum of the delta values of the line items created to date for the cost element and WBS element.

Delta value = cumulative contract value entered - ∑ delta values to date

    Caution Caution

The planned revenues for the contract values cannot be updated in the same CO version as the remaining plan.

    End of the caution.
  • Automatically creates an offsetting posting for work values for an offsetting account (primary cost element), so the balance for the WBS element remains zero.

    Note Note

The offsetting posting is only permitted for actual values, in other words, only for the work values, because these are posted as statistical actual values. There is no offsetting entry for planned values.

    End of the note.
