When the reel calculation attempts to find a suitable reel, the system first reads the
Coil delivery
indicator to determine whether the length of material can be handled in the form of a coil.
You have selected the
Coil delivery
indicator in the cable material master.
In Customizing for the
Reel Calculation, y
ou have made the following settings:
You have defined the maximum permissible cable length and the maximum permissible cable weight for coil delivery, by choosing
Set Plant Data
, and making the relevant entries in the
Coil Check
group box.
You have entered valid reel categories for the reel calculation, by choosing
. You have entered the reel category to be used as a coil, by choosing
Set Plant Data
, and making the relevant entry in the
Coil
group box, and you have assigned the corresponding reel type.
If the material master indicates that coil delivery is possible, the system uses the Customizing settings to check whether a coil is permitted for the length and determined weight of the cable material (
net weight
in the cable material master). If it is, the system assigns the reel category and reel type automatically in line with the settings.
