 Data Transfer for New Employees

Definition

Activity category that classifies an activity type of the same name. This triggers the transfer of the candidate’s data from the E-Recruiting system to an external HR system.

Note Note

The data transfer can take place with an RFC connection or using the SAP Exchange Infrastructure (XI). If the data transfer takes place with XI, the Hiring Date field on the Details tab page is a required entry field. The additional field Leaving Date is also displayed. Attachments that are uploaded for the activity are transferred to the HR system.

Use

You use the activity in this category if you want to import the data of an external candidate that is stored in the E-Recruiting system into the connected HR system. This is the case when the candidate is to be hired. You use this activity category only for the Recruitment process and not for TRM.

The following data is transferred:

  • Hiring Date

  • Organizational Unit

  • Job

  • First and last name

  • Academic title

  • Initials

  • Gender

  • Date of Birth

  • Correspondence language

  • Address type

  • Street

  • City

  • Postal code

  • Country

  • Region

  • Applicant ID

  • Employee ID (is transferred initially)

Structure

An activity in the Data Transfer of New Employees category consists of the following tab pages:

  • Details

    The tab page contains the following information:

    • Status

    • Due date (if status: Planned )

    • Completed on (if status: Completed )

    • Completed by (if status: Completed )

    • Processed by

    • Changed On (only after the activity has been created)

    • Changed by (only after the activity has been created)

    • Hiring Date (required entry field if data transfer with XI)

    • Leaving Date (only displayed if data transfer with XI)

    • Organizational Unit

      Organizational unit to which the candidate is to be assigned. This is predefined with the organizational unit from the requisition (if an organizational unit is entered there).

    • Position

      Position that the candidate is to occupy. This is predefined with the position from the requisition (if a position is entered there).

      The tab page contains the following function:

    • Data Transfer

      You can transfer the data of the external candidate to the connected HR system here.
