This function enables you to create several receiving items in the delivery-related trading unit change (DTUC) and the cutting stock transfer. To meet industry-specific requirements,
SAP for Mill Products
has been enhanced in such a way that you can now:
Use
fast entry of characteristics
in the
Dist
ribute Quantity dialog box
Copy the receiving items
These functions can greatly reduce the number of entries required when distributing quantities to several receiving items and when classifying the corresponding batches.
This function is available in the transactions
Delivery-Related Trading Unit Change
(MILL_CUT_LBA) and
Cutting Stock Transfer
(MILL_CUT).
In Customizing for
Logistics Execution
, you must create and activate your own implementation for the BAdI
/SAPMP/SPLIT_POPUP,
by choosing
.
If you have to enter several receiving items for an issuing item, you can do so in the
Distribute Quantity
dialog box that appears when you choose
Distribute Quantity
.
If you have selected a characteristic display before you branch to this dialog box, fast entry of characteristics is also available. This means that you can classify the batch of a new item directly when you enter the item without having to branch to the characteristic value assignment screen.
If you have not selected a characteristic display or if fast entry of characteristics is not active for a material, the system branches to the standard dialog box for quantity distribution.
The
Number
field in the
Distribute Quantity
dialog box is a further entry aid. You can use it to copy an item that you have entered in the dialog box.
Note
If you are working with length-based materials, the system automatically generates a matching number of items in the
Distribute Quantity
dialog box.
If you want to copy a receiving item in the
Distribute Quantity
dialog box, proceed as follows:
Select the item you want to copy.
Enter the number of identical items you want in the
Number
field.
Example
If you enter
6
in the
Number
field, the system generates five new items.
Choose ENTER.
The system generates the required number of items. With the exception of the batch number, the item data is identical; in other words, the quantity, storage location, and characteristic value assignments are the same for all items.
