 Candidate Search

Purpose

You can use the process to search the Talent Pool for suitable candidates and then assign them to a requisition. You determine search criteria based on the requirements for potential candidates stored in the requisition. You then initiate the search and receive a results list with candidates that best fulfill these requirements. The predefined search criteria correspond to the entry fields that candidates store in their profile.

In addition to predefined search criteria, you can also search for candidates using a full-text search. The full-text search also enables you to search all information in candidates’ profiles. Depending on the system settings, you can also perform a full-text search on documents that candidates uploaded as attachments to supplement their profile.

Prerequisites

You are a member of the support team for the requisition or application group to which you want to assign candidates.

It is possible to perform a search of attachments only if the search application is configured accordingly using the Implementation Guide (IMG). See the IMG for SAP E-Recruiting under Talent Warehouse → Candidate → Candidate Search → Search Profile → Assign Attachment Types to a Search Profile Type .

Process Flow

  1. You choose the Candidate Shortlist function on the start page ( Personal Pages view).

  2. The system displays a list of all requisitions and application groups to which you have access and which correspond to the relevant selection criteria.

  3. You select a requisition and then choose the Candidate Search function.

  4. The system launches the search application.

  5. You enter your search criteria and execute the search. For more information about the search, see Working with a Search Application .

    You can save search queries that you created and use them later.

  6. You select one or more suitable candidates and choose Assign Candidates .

  7. The system creates an assignment to the requisition for each of these candidates.

  8. The candidates are removed from the search hit list and transferred to the list of requisition assignments.

Result

You assigned suitable candidates from the Talent Pool to the requisition. You can now plan and perform activities for these assignments.
