The IR also offers the

service. The e-Filing component for Great Britain does

support use of this EDI service for electronic filing.

, you must also install specified Middleware to connect your SAP system to the Government Gateway.
For all supported SAP Releases up to and including 5.00 (ERP 2004)
The communication between your SAP system and the Government Gateway is handled by the SAP Business Connector ( SAP BC ).
For e-Filing

SAP BC must be installed in your system landscape before any part of the e-Filing functionality can be used.
SAP BC is the standard Middleware product of SAP for all supported releases up to and including 5.00.

For all supported SAP Releases 6.00 (ERP 2005) and above
You must install SAP Exchange Infrastructure (SAP XI) to handle communication between your SAP system and the Government Gateway. SAP XI must be installed in your system landscape before any part of the e-Filing GB functionality can be used in these later SAP releases.
SAP XI is the standard Middleware product of SAP for Releases 6.00 and above.
