Vorgehensweisen Configuring Self-Management  Dokument im Navigationsbaum lokalisieren

Use

You can enable users to manage their own user profile. Administrators no longer need to enter such data as address and telephone number when users can enter this information themselves. When users enter their own data, it is more likely to be accurate and up to date.

This feature also enables users to customize the user experience for applications such as SAP NetWeaver Portal. Users can select the language used for the user interface or even enable support for JAWS screen readers for users with special needs.

For more information about accessibility, see Accessibility.

Configure self-registration, too and users can register themselves and enter their own data as well.

For more information, see Configuring Self-Registration.

Prerequisites

The data source for user data must support write access.
