Overview of the Selection Versions
The selection versions are displayed for each information structure with the aggregation lists in an easy-to-view tree structure. You can display this overview in two different ways for each info structure:
General
The selection versions for all information structures of the respective information system are displayed
User-specific
All selection versions that are assigned to the user are displayed for each info structure.
Calling up an Overview
To obtain an overview, start from the information system menu and select:
Standard analyses
Selection version
General overview
or
User overview
.
The following functions are available in the overview:
Display Selected Data
You can use this function to display the data that has been read and stored for a selection version. You receive a display of the standard analysis with the saved data. You can also perform this function on aggregation lists (initial lists) for a selection version.
The function can only be used for selection versions, to which you have assigned a selection date. This selection date can be the date of background processing or the date on which the selection version was saved from the standard analysis. The standard drilldown and the key figure selection are transferred from the selection version. In the case of selection versions which have been saved from a standard analysis, the standard settings from Customizing and the user-specific settings for the standard analysis are transferred.
Execute
The ‘Execute’ function allows data to be read and displayed ad hoc in accordance with the view that you have defined in the selection version. When you perform this function, you receive the selection screen. The settings that you made in the definition of the selection version (currency and period to analyze) are transferred as default values. The standard drilldown and the key figure selection are transferred from the selection version.
Execute with Variant
You can only use this function for selection versions for which you have created a variant. The data is read displayed ad in accordance with the view that you have defined in the selection version and in accordance with the selection criteria of the variant. No selection screen is displayed; you directly receive the list of the data.
