 Transferring Data to XXL

You can transfer the selected data of a standard analysis to XXL (E X tended E X ce L ). XXL is a product name for a tool to display and manipulate list objects from R/3 applications. You can use XXL to process the lists that were created by one of the SAP applications further in various media, such as Microsoft Excel ® or Lotus 123 ®.

Standard analysis data is copied in the form of a list object to the XXL interface and can then be transferred further to other media.

Hardware and Software Prerequisites

Prerequisites for the XXL export depend on the operating system of the workstation computer and version of the software (such as Microsoft Office) that to which you want to send the export.

Gen er ally the current versions of Windowsby Microsoftand current versions of the spreadsheet program Exceland Lotusare supported.

Transferring Data to XXL

If you want to transfer data from a standard analysis to XXL, proceed as follows:

  1. From the initial or drilldown list, select the analysis whose data you want to transfer ( for example, Purchasing group, Vendor, Material) analysis ® Export ® Transfer to XXL .

  2. The dialog box Exporting list object according to XXL (as of Release 3.0 F, or 4.) appears.

  3. Highlight all the characteristics in the dialog box whose data you want to transfer.

  4. Press Enter.

  5. The dialog box Exporting list object according to XXL appears.

  6. Select an export target.

Depending on the software that is installed on your computer, you can use XXL to pass on the data to the following:

  • SAPoffice

You can save the list object and store it in the inbox of SAPoffice. The list object can then be sent from the SAPoffice inbox and/or distributed into directories.

  • PC file

You can store the list object in the local file system so that you can work on it later with the available display media.

  • Excel4/SAP Macros

You can display and process the lists using SAP Macros (the so-called List viewer ).

  • Excel5/Privot Table

You can display and process the list using Excel 5 ®.

  • Lotus 123

You can display and process the list using Lotus 123 ®.

If you use user-defined macros, you can also use other display mediums. These are also located in the dialog box.

Further options for processing the list depend on the medium that you have selected. Proceed as described in the corresponding documentation.
