Procedure documentation Setting IDoc Conversion Rules (Customer System Outbound) Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You can change the field contents in an IDoc segment by using conversion rules. You require conversions outbound to convert the SPEC2K IDoc data from the lower part of the IDoc to the upper part.

The SAP system contains all of the required conversion rules. You adapt the conversion rules, where necessary, and assign them to your partners (vendors).

Procedure

Adapting Conversion Rules

In Customizing, choose SAP Web Application Servers  ® Application Link Enabling (ALE)  ® Modeling and Implementing Business Processes  ® Converting Data between Sender and Receiver ® Maintain Rules.

...

Execute the Customizing activity for the following conversion rules:

·        SPC_OP_MM_S1S_K11

·        SPC_OP_MM_S1Q_K11

·        SPC_OP_MM_S1B_K11

in receiver field SHT, enter a condition that converts the content of sender field EWERK to the ship-to party known to the vendor .

Alternatively, you can copy the plant as the ship-to party, if your vendor can clearly identify the ship-to party from the customer name and plant.

Assigning Conversion Rules

In Customizing, choose SAP Web Application Servers  ® Application Link Enabling (ALE)  ® Modeling and Implementing Business Processes  ® Converting Data between Sender and Receiver ® Assign Rule to Message Type.

...

       1.      Execute the Customizing activity for the message types in table Segment Type and Conversion Rule Subject to Message Type (Customer System Outbound), which is shown below.

       2.      Enter the following data in the table for outbound processing in the customer system:

Partner Type of Sender: LS

Partner Number of Sender: Logical system that you have assigned
