You often have to synchronize selected customizing settings in various systems in an SAP system landscape. You can use the Customizing synchronization functions to transfer any Customizing settings you make in a NetWeaver core development system to the development system of a target component (such as CRM). These settings are copied to transport requests in both systems, and can then be distributed in your transport landscape (for example, to your test and production systems) with the Transport Management System. You can use the transport synchronization functions to monitor these synchronous transport requests centrally.
Customizing synchronization is not yet available in the standard 6.10 system. For more information, see http://service.sap.com/customizing.
The transport synchronization functions show you all synchronization requests that need to be or have been imported in a selected time interval, and their maximum import return code (use the quick info on the icons).
The transport synchronization display shows all synchronous transport requests that were exported in the specified time interval.
This display includes all systems that were defined for a selected project in the Customizing synchronization functions.
Make sure that all the systems you want to keep synchronized are in the same transport landscape, that is, that they are all connected by transport routes.
To display the transport synchronization:

1. Log on to the SAP System that functions as the transport domain controller.
2. Call the Transport Management System (transaction STMS).
3. In the TMS initial screen, choose .
The Import Overview: Domain <Domain name> screen appears.
4. Choose Goto ® Transport Synchronization.
If no systems are defined with the Customizing synchronization functions, this function is not available in the import overview.
A dialog box appears where you can specify a time interval.
5. Specify a time interval.
The Transport Synchronization screen appears. If a request has already been imported, double-click its status to go to the corresponding transport log. If the import had errors, double-click the icon to display the cause.
To display the transport synchronization legend, go to the Transport Synchronization screen and choose Extras ® Legend.

Choose to update the Transport Synchronization display.
This determines all synchronous transports for the specified time interval again. For performance reasons, the import statuses are read from the transport synchronization buffer. Import logs are only read directly from the original system for requests that have not yet been imported (), and for log read errors ().
If you want to update a special import status, for example, because you have repeated the import, you can read the logs again and update the status.

This only updates the status of the system you have selected.
If you want to read logs for all systems, schedule the report RSTSYCOL in the background at times when the systems have a low load.
If you schedule the report periodically, and specify the time of the last background execution as the end time, you speed up the performance of the transport synchronization.
