Procedure documentation Replacing Pictograms on Area Group Pages and Area Pages Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

On the area group page, the system displays a pictogram (graphic) of 48x48 pixels for each area. This pictogram is also displayed on the area pages. This makes navigation between the services more intuitive for users.

We deliver a suitable pictogram as a graphic file for each area included in the standard delivery. However, you can replaces this file with your own graphics. You can also store graphics for customer-specific areas.

Prerequisites

The graphic formats .GIF and .JPEG are supported.

Procedure

Note

You only have to perform the following steps if you want to replace the existing pictograms with your own graphics.

Creating Resources for Pictograms

Create a separate resource for each pictogram. Proceed as follows:

¡        Access the following IMG activity: Cross-Application Components ®Homepage Framework ® Resources ®Define Resources.

       1.      Choose Define Resources (Add Entries).

       2.      Enter a resource object key and a description for the graphic.

       3.      Choose Details.

       4.      Enter a path to the directory where the graphic file is stored.

       5.      Enter the file name of the graphic as the object name.

       6.      Enter the name of the server.

Note

As opposed to entering the directory path, object name, and server name, you can also enter a URL that links to the required graphic file. Enter the exact URL of the graphic file as the URL of the resource object.

       7.      Save your entries.

Entering Resources in Area Definitions

¡        Access the following IMG activity: Cross-Application Components ®Homepage Framework ® Areas ®Define Areas.

       1.      Choose Change Entries.

       2.      Select the required area page and choose Detail.

       3.      Enter the required resource.

       4.      Save your entries.
