US Federal Government 
The SAP US Federal Government (USFG) solution provides functions required specifically by the Federal Government of the United States.
To be able to use USFG, you need to have the following installed, configured, and active:
· Funds Management (FM)
· Financial Accounting (FI)
· Fund Accounting
· Special Ledger
· Materials Management (MM)
· Sales and Distribution (SD)
· Human Resources (HR)
The USFG solution is a country-specific feature in the standard Public Sector application component developed by SAP.
The solution includes the following features:
This feature enables you to handle payments made by the U.S. Department of the Treasury on behalf of agencies of the Federal Government.
This feature enables you to post to budgetary accounts in accordance with the U.S. Government Standard General Ledger.
This feature enables you to comply with the requirements of U.S. federal legislation on paying invoices promptly and taking advantage of discounts.
· FACTS I
With this feature, you can use the SAP system to work with FACTS I (Federal Agencies’ Centralized Trial Balance System I). Federal government agencies are required to use this system to submit their Adjusted Trial Balances (ATB) annually to the U.S. Treasury.
· FACTS II
With this feature, you can use the SAP system to work with FACTS II (Federal Agencies‘ Centralized Trial Balance System II). Federal government agencies are required to use this system to submit quarterly their U.S. Standard General Ledger (SGL) budgetary account trial balances and selected proprietary account balances to the U.S. Treasury.
· Budgets in the Federal Government Solution
The budgeting process in the Federal Government solution varies from the standard procedure.
· Payment Statistical Sampling
The solution includes a random sampling facility for the purpose of verifying incoming invoices.
This feature satisfies the requirement that sensitive goods and other goods over a certain value be treated as assets.
· Intragovernmental Payments and Collections (IPAC)
This function handles payments and collections made between government agencies.
