The spool system uses the name of the manufacturer of a character set for documentary purposes to help identify the character set.

You need to define a manufacturer only if it has not been already been defined.

To define a character set manufacturer, choose Character set manufacturers on the Char. sets tab page. Enter a freely selectable name for the manufacturer. You can add a descriptive text as well, if desired.
