You must enter various information in the spool administration function of the SAP system. This information includes, for example, device type and host spool access method.

1. From the SAP Easy Access menu, choose Tools ® CCMS ® Spool ® Spool administration or call transaction SPAD.
2. On the screen Spool Administration: Initial Screen, choose Configuration ® Output devices.
The Spool Administration: List of Output Devices screen appears.
3. Choose Change.
4. Choose Output device ® Create.
The Spool Administration: Create Output Device screen appears.
5. In the Output device field, enter a name to identify the output device.
6. In the Device type field, select a suitable device according to the type of printer.

7. In the Spool server field, select a server.
8. Choose Host spool access method.
¡ In the Host printer field, select a suitable printer name.
¡ In the Host name field, select a suitable printer server.
¡ In the Host spool access method field, select a suitable device according to the type of printer.
9. Choose Save (Ctrl + S).
