Checking the SAPlpd Working Directory for
Work Files 
Use
You can either install SAPlpd on every Microsoft Windows system from which output data is to be printed, or you can start it in every Microsoft Windows system using a central shared copy of the program. In both cases, SAPlpd must change (cd) to a writable working directory when it is started. SAPlpd uses this directory for temporary storage of output requests. You can specify this working directory in the Properties that you specify for SAPlpd in the Microsoft NT Explorer.
SAPlpd temporarily stores all incoming output requests as files in the working directory of the program. The SAPlpd working files are automatically deleted as soon as an output request is passed on to the Microsoft Windows print controller. Should a print request be received but not printed, the file remains in storage.
Prerequisites
The working directory should be local on the system on which SAPlpd is running. This ensures optimal system performance.
Procedure
If problems occur with your printer, follow this procedure:

1. Check your working directory for the following files:
· For access method U: dfA* files
· For access method S: <numerical combination>_<numerical combination>
2. You should either print or delete these files.
If you want to print the files, call SAPlpd from the command line, as in this example:
SAPlpd -f dfA136c1.1xx -p p330
