Procedure documentation Converting Batch Classes Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Procedure

...

       1.      Choose Logistics ® Central Functions ® Batch Management ® Tools ® Batch Class Conversion.

       2.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text to create a conversion.

The Batch Class Conversion: Details screen appears.

       3.      Enter a descriptive text for the conversion.

       4.      If required, enter the planned date for the conversion using background processing.

       5.      Enter the material number of the material to be converted.

       6.      Confirm your entry.

The class now assigned to the material appears in the Old Class column.

       7.      Enter the new class.

       8.      Save your conversion by choosing This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

The conversion status overview screen reappears. The conversion you created appears under the node This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Being created with a conversion number, a descriptive text, the old and new classes, and the assigned material(s).

       9.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text in the conversion line to release the conversion.

   10.      Choose Yes in the confirmation prompt.

The system carries out checks and estimates the resources required for the conversion. The time estimated by the system is displayed in the conversion line in the column Time.

The conversion appears under the node This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Released.

   11.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text in the conversion line to start the conversion.

   12.      Choose Yes in the confirmation prompt.

Note

Conversions found under the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Current node were started either in another session, using background processing, or by another user.

Result

When the conversion has been successfully completed, it appears under the node This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Finished without errors.
