The cash position supplies information on the current financial situation in your bank accounts and bank clearing accounts. Integration with single records means that the cash position can give you an overview over short-term liquidity trends.
The cash position is calculated from the value-dated entry of all payments within a short time horizon. It is fed by various sources:
· Bank postings and bank clearing postings
· Expected inflows and outflows from the investment or borrowing activities of Treasury Management
· FI postings to G/L accounts relevant to SAP Cash and Liquidity Management
· Memo records entered manually (payment advice)
· Cash flows from business transactions managed with the Treasury Management application component
In addition, the cash position is the starting point for cash concentration.
The graphic below illustrates the integration of the cash position in the SAP System.
