You activate change documents in the Customizing table T77CDOC_CUST (Activate Creation of Change Documents). In this table, you can specify for which infotypes/subtypes, object types, and plan versions, the creation of change documents is to be activated.
Change documents are only created for the combination of plan version, object types, and infotype/subtype you enter in this table. Only those entries for which the value X is entered in the Active field are taken into consideration.
Note that if you activate the creation of change documents for all Personnel Planning infotypes, for example, the system performance deteriorates. Therefore, you should only activate the creation of change documents for the combination of plan version, object type, and infotype/subtype for which you require this function.
You can find the table in the Implementation Guide of various Personnel Planning application components such as the Implementation Guide for the Organizational Management (PA-OS) and Personnel Development (PA-PD) under Basic Settings ® Activate Change Documents. In the Implementation Guide for the Training and Event Management (PE) component and Training Management for the SAP Learning Solution (LSO), you can find the table under Basic Settings ® Object Type Modeling Enhancement ® Infotype ® Activate Change Documents.
The infotypes for which you want to activate the creation of change documents must have been entered in table T77CDOC (Administration of Change Document Object Class). This table already contains the Personnel Planning infotypes delivered by SAP for the creation of change documents.
In the case of customer-specific infotypes, you must first create a change document object in transaction SCDO and create your own function group. You must then enter the infotype in table T77CDOC before you can activate the infotype for the creation of change documents in table T77CDOC_CUST. For more information about how to set up change documents for customer-specific infotypes, see Creation of Change Documents for Customer-Specific Infotypes.
In the standard system, the table is empty. In the case of customer-specific infotypes, you must first create a change document object in transaction SCDO and create your own function group.
Enter the combination of plan version, object type, and infotype/subtype for which you want to activate the creation of change documents. You can enter * (wildcards). This enables all existing subtypes of an infotype to be taken into consideration.
Select the Active (CDOC_ACTIVE) field for each line of entered data.
