Job 

Definition

An object for describing positions.

Use

You assign a job to positions in order to describe multiple positions with the same properties at the same time. The properties of a job are passed on to the assigned positions. For more information, see the SAP Library for Organizational Management under SAP ERP Central Component ® Human Resources ® Personnel Management.

Jobs are also used to define the personnel information of reference force elements.

Structure

Technically, the job corresponds to the job (object type C) in the Organizational Management component.

Status and validity

Status and validity correspond to the object type job in the Organizational Management component.

Properties

The following fields are available on the tab pages in the Structures Workbench:

·        Name

The identifying indicator of the job (analogous to the tab page of the same name for the force element).

·        Description

Descriptive user-defined texts for the job (analogous to the tab page of the same name for the force element).

·        Specific Chars

·        Personnel Categories

See Personnel Categories.

·        Tasks

The assigned tasks (analogous to the tab page of the same name for the force element).
