Hiding Areas in Standard System 

Use

You can set up the system in such a way that it does not display individual areas included in the standard system. You might want to do this if none of the services that belong to a particular area are to be used.

Procedure

...

       1.      Access the following IMG activity: Cross-Application Components ® Homepage Framework ® Areas ® Areas ® Assign Areas to Area Group Pages .

       2.      Choose Assign Areas to Area Group Pages (Find Entries).

       3.      Find the table entry for the area you do not want the system to display.

       4.      Note the area group key and the area key and navigate back.

       5.      Choose Assign Areas to Area Group Pages (Add and Change Entries).

       6.      Enter the keys you have made a note of in the table.

       7.      Assign the new table entry position 0.

Result

The system no longer displays the area.
