Function documentation Liquidity Analyses Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

The aim of SAP Cash and Liquidity Management is to provide you with an overview of the liquidity status of your company. The system offers you two evaluation reports, with which you can edit various views:

·        The cash position provides a short-term view for monitoring the liquidity in bank accounts.

·        With the liquidity forecast you can evaluate information for certain customers, vendors or subledgers in the mid/long term.

The cash position and liquidity forecast together amount to the total liquidity of the company.

Integration

The graphic below illustrates the integration of the liquidity analysis in the SAP System:

Activities

...

       1.      Select Information System ®Reports on SAP Cash and Liquidity Management ® Liquidity Analyses ®Cash Position or Liquidity Forecast.

       2.      The Cash Management and Forecast: Initial Screen appears. This screen is the same for cash position and for liquidity forecast.

       3.      You can display additional selection criteria by selecting This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (after entering the grouping and currency). This graphic is explained in the accompanying text comprises the selection. This changes the structure of the screen.

       5.      In the Further selections area, you can decide which evaluation you want. Select the cash position or liquidity forecast or a complete view (by flagging both fields).

       6.      Enter a grouping term by which the accounts or planning groups should be grouped together. The grouping determines which levels and accounts are selected. With the grouping, you can also determine how the data is to be summarized on the first screen.

Caution You create groupings in the cash management Customizing area (see Define Grouping and Maintain Structure in the implementation guide).

       7.      The Display as of field shows the start date of the cash position or the liquidity forecast. The current date is automatically proposed by the system.

       8.      In the Planned currency field, you can enter the currency if you want to select according to a certain or several currencies. You could for example display only transactions in USD. If you do not make an entry in this field, all available currencies are displayed.

       9.       In the Display in field, specify the currency in which the liquidity analyses should be displayed.

The foreign currency is converted to display currency with the exchange rate defined here. If you enter an exchange rate, the value is automatically taken from the currency table.

   11.      Exchange rate LC/FC:
