Use

Front-end printing with control technology (access method G) allows front-end printing from the SAP GUI for Java on non-Windows platforms, such as UNIX. For information about this, see the section Front-End Printing with Control Technology (Access Method G).

Example

Under UNIX, front-end printing with control technology can address CUPS (Common UNIX Printing System) as well as the standard UNIX printing system. If CUPS is not available, the front-end printing addresses the standard UNX printing system.

Different queues can also be addressed under UNIX, such as one queue for single-sided printing, and another for double-sided printing. While these settings are made in the print dialog of the printer under Microsoft Windows, you need to create two print queues under UNIX to do this. The print requests are then placed in the relevant queues. You can specify a queue to which the print request is to be sent in the print selection dialog in the SAP system. If this is not found, the system uses the standard queue.
