Lock Mechanism During Import and Export 

The lock mechanism works as follows during a transport:

·        A package cannot be exported if even a single object in the package is locked. A list of the locked objects is displayed together with the corresponding users.

·        All objects to be imported are locked while the import is running. This prevents the same package or two identical objects from being imported twice.

·        If you want to edit a transport package that is locked by another user, you can only open it in read-only mode. With Edit Mode you can go to edit mode. Read also Locking Objects (Lock Scenarios).
