Exact-to-the-minute assignments of technical objects (master equipment) for force elements and assignments of logistics work centers to force elements.
To map the organizational assignment of large equipment, you can assign force elements the relevant technical objects that are managed in the system as master equipment. You can relocate technical objects from one force element to another, or loan them out. See also Assigning Technical Objects (Relocation/Loan).
In this way, you can also differentiate between the holder and the user of a large piece of equipment. The force element to which the large equipment is assigned at a particular point in time is the current user. The force element to which the large equipment is assigned on December 31, 9999 is the holder, even if there have been other users in the meantime.
You can also view and change assignments to logistics work centers here.
When the assignment is activated, the following follow-on functions are triggered:
· Relevant materials management documents are created; the force element is supplied with the material.
· When the goods issue is posted, the necessary changes (such as responsible work center and cost center) are automatically made to the technical object.
If the assignment of a technical object to a force element is delimited and a new relationship is created to another force element, the system checks the consistency of the new force element and technical object with regard to the responsible work center.
If the responsible work center for the technical object differs from that for the new force element, the responsible work center for the force element is transferred for the technical object.
In the case of materials (serial numbers) that are managed in maintenance as technical objects (master equipment), the system checks whether a corresponding assignment already exists between the technical object and the receiving force element when the authorized materials (material planning objects) are planned in detail and executed. If this is not the case, the goods issue is not posted.
Assignments to technical objects are displayed and edited from the perspective of the selected force element on the Technical Objects tab page in the Structures Workbench.
A technical object can be assigned to only one force element at any one time.
The following relationship is provided in the standard system:
Technical object relationships
Relationship Desc. |
Relationship |
Object Types |
Belongs to |
A 820 |
O – EQ |
Responsible Work Center |
A 061 |
O – LA |
O = force element, EQ = equipment (technical object), LA = logistics work center
These technical object relationships are stored in table /ISDFPS/ORTOB.
To choose between the different relationship directions, you can choose Choose Relationship.
In Customizing for Defense Forces and Public Security, you can define which relationships you want to display and edit by choosing Organizational Flexibility ® Structures Workbench ® Tab Pages ® Define Tab Pages for Command and Support Relationships.
In this IMG activity, you can also change the texts for naming the relationships. These texts override the names of the relationship directions.
You enter the following properties for an assignment:

To show and hide fields, you can choose Column Configuration.
Large equipment that is mapped in the system as technical objects and assigned to force elements can be defined in parallel as the authorized materials of a force element by means of material planning objects.
For information about the assignments between force elements, technical objects (master equipment), positions, and work centers, see Assignments to Maintenance Objects.
Once you have selected a table entry, you can choose Status Board to navigate to the object display in the status board.
