Procedure documentation Create IMG Structure Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

  1. Choose Tools ® Hypertext ® Structures ® IMG structures in the SAP menu or enter the transaction SIMGH in the command field.
  2. You go to the Edit IMG structures screen.

  3. Enter the original language of the structure in the Language field.
  4. Choose IMG structure ® Create.
  5. Enter the structure title in the Explanatory text field in the Create IMG structure: Enter name dialog box and click ENTER.
  6. Assign the structure to a package and save it in a transport request.
  7. Position the cursor on the displayed structure nodes. You can now create a structure in the following ways:
    1. Enter a structure node (with doc. class CHAP) one level lower
    2. Enter an IMG activity (with doc. class SIMG) one level lower
    3. Enter an IMG structure one level lower

c) Enter IMG structure

Choose Edit ® Nodes ® Enter structure nodes ® One level lower.

Choose Edit ® Nodes ® Enter IMG activity ® One level lower.

Choose Edit ® Nodes ® Enter IMG structure ® One level lower.

Enter the node name in the IMG structure node dialog box.

Enter an ID and an IMG activity name.

Enter the name of the structure in the Link to a structure dialog box.

You can use the search function to find a structure of which you only know part of the name.

 

Assign an existing document or create a new one with the Create pushbutton.

  1. You can now enter more structure nodes at the same level or one level lower. Position the cursor on the node below which you want to enter the new node. Repeat the steps in the table as often as required.
  2. Note

    Only structure nodes can have subnodes.

  3. Save the structure with Implementation guide ® Save.
