Downloading Application Data Models as XML Format 

Use

The downloaded XML file is used by the SAP MI Client Component for the persistence of local data and for synchronization. The file is also needed for the development of mobile applications.

Prerequisites

To download the XML metadata of SyncBOs an entry for the mobile application must already exist (Mobile Component Descriptor (MCD)). Only MCD entries containing more than one SyncBO can be downloaded with the SyncBO Builder.

Procedure

...

       1.      Start transaction merep_sbuilder.

       2.      Choose  Download Metadata XML.

       3.      Select the target application.

If the desired application is not in the displayed list, check if it is registered in the MCD as relevant to Smart Synchronization. If not, register the application, see Registering a Mobile Application.

       4.      Choose  Continue.

       5.      In the dialog box, select the folder where the XML file is to be saved.

Do not change the name of the XML file if you want to use it on the mobile device. At runtime, the APIs of the SAP MI Client Component use the default name of the XML file.

       6.      Confirm the message in the message bar.
