Definition

The assignment of a force element to relocations and relocation steps.

Use

You assign a relocation to a force element in order to define a time-based sequence of relocation steps for an operation or exercise. You can assign material planning objects (MPOs), provisions packages (PPAs), and positions to these relocation steps in order to relocate material and personnel to the operational or exercise location in line with the sequence of relocation steps. The material and personnel is then relocated by means of logistical follow-on processes.

See also Relocation Planning.

Structure

The following fields are available in the Structures Workbench on the Relocation tab page:

·        Reloc. ID

The assigned relocation.

Multiple relocations can be assigned to one force element. When you assign relocations, the system checks whether:

¡        A relocation falls completely in the period of another relocation

The system outputs an error message.

¡        Overlaps exist

The system outputs a warning message and the assignment that already exists is delimited accordingly.

·        Relocation Step ID/Relocation Step

The assigned relocation step.

·        X + Days/X + Hours

The start date/time of the relocation step (number of days/hours after the relocation start).

The system checks whether the specified start date/time is conformable with the validity of the relocation and, if necessary, outputs a warning message.

You can display an overview of the relocation sequence by choosing Relocation Seq. In the overview, the start date determined is displayed in the CRD field.

·        Planning Status

The status of the assignment.
