The request editor is a tool which you can use to manage the contents of individual change requests and tasks. You can find it in the Transport Organizer (transaction SE09) and also within the Object Navigator (transaction SE80).

You start the request editor by double-clicking a request or task.

You can display and edit the entire context of a request or task in the request editor . The attributes, objects and documentation of the chosen request/task are displayed clearly on tab pages, adjacent to each other.

You can check the request in its entire context before release. You can therefore record and correct errors in the request consistency prior to release. Double-clicking the error list takes you directly to the incorrect request components.

You can reach the request editor by double-clicking a request or task in the tree structure of the change requests and tasks. The Display request/task <request/task number> screen appears.
