Component documentation Integrated Planning Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

The SAP System supports fully integrated planning in Controlling (CO) so that you can plan your different business activities separately but with the activities remaining integrated at the same time. In this way, consistency is achieved and group planning remains realistic.

In CO-PA, you can use different functions for copying and transferring planning data within Controlling. Furthermore, you can transfer planning data to different components or read data from Microsoft Excel for offline planning.

Features

The following graphic shows how sales and profit planning is integrated with other components in the SAP System. For more information about the individual functions, see the corresponding sections in this documentation.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

Alongside achieving the above integration, CO-PA also enables you to work with integrated Excel in sales and profit planning. On the one hand, you can call up Excel directly from within the SAP interface and use the Excel screen, and, on the other hand, you have the option of planning in Excel on its own and then importing the data in the SAP System subsequently. For more information, see Integrated Excel in Planning.
