Procedure documentation Document Assignment Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

Documents which you created in your project documentation lose their assignment to IMG structure nodes when these nodes no longer exist (e.g. after an update). The documentation exists, but you cannot access it directly.

The document assignment function lists all documents which are not assigned to a structure node. You can assign the listed documents to any IMG structure node.

Procedure

  1. Choose Tools ® Assign lost customer documents in the project management.

    2. All documents with no assignment to a structure node are displayed in the Invisible documents list. You can display selected documents with the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Display note symbol.

  2. Position the cursor on the row of the desired document.
  3. Click on This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Assign note to node.

    4. The IMG structure is displayed in a new window.

  4. Expand the structure down to the level at which you want to assign the document.
  5. Put the cursor on a structure node and choose Select +/-.

    6. The row is highlighted.

  6. Choose Copy selected nodes (Enter).

The node text appears in the IMG activity column next to the document ID.

Result

You can now call the assigned documentation from the IMG structure and it no longer appears in the list of invisible documents.
