Activating and Deactivating Application
Aliases
You can use this procedure to specify whether or not a Web application is available on a particular virtual host. You do this by selecting or deselecting the corresponding application alias from the list, respectively.
You must first have the J2EE Web applications deployed so that their aliases are added to the list of available application aliases. Then you can decide which one to remove from it.
Do the following to activate an application alias:
...
1. Open the Runtime tab of the HTTP Provider Service running on server process.
2. Choose the Application Aliases tab for the appropriate virtual host.
3. Select the indicator under the Active column.
4. Choose Save Properties.
To deactivate an application alias from the list of available aliases for that host, proceed as follows:
...
1. Deselect the indicator of the alias under the Active column.
You can use the APPLICATION_ALIAScommand with Telnet to activate or deactivate application aliases on a particular virtual host. For the description of the command, refer to HTTP Shell commands group description.
