e-Filing GB Middleware: SAP Business Connector 

Use

Two distinct and separate Middleware can be used with the e-Filing for Great Britain solution. The Middleware you install depends on your current SAP release at the time of installation:

• SAP Business Connector (SAP BC) > Releases 46C – 5.00 (ERP 2004)
• SAP Exchange Infrastructure (SAP XI) > Releases 6.00 (ERP 2005) and above

The remainder of this document details the specific steps you must take to install the SAP Business Connector Middleware.

 

Procedure

Installing the SAP Business Connector

For the e-Filing solution to work in SAP Releases 31I to 5.00 (ERP 2004) , you must install Version 4.7 (128SSL) of the SAP BC.

To install this version of the SAP BC:

1.       Download and install Version 4.7 (128 SSL) of the SAP BC from the SAP Service Marketplace, at http://service.sap.com/connectors.

2.       Download one of the following ZIP files depending on your SAP release:

·         SAP_Efiling_46C_and_above.ZIP

·         SAP_PY_GBEfiling_31I_to_46B.ZIP

You download these Zip files from the Payroll GB customer page on the SAP Service Marketplace (http://service.sap.com/hrgb), under: Media Center ® e-Filing ® BC Application Package for e Filing, choosing the required file for your specific SAP release.

The ZIP file contains the SAP BC application package and instructions on installing the package.

3.       Save your downloaded ZIP file into the directory SAP BCserver – replicate – inbound.

For more information on installing packages, refer to the detailed documentation found within the SAP BC you downloaded in Step 1.

4.       Follow the steps outlined in the documentation below to customise the Routing Rules to suit your organisational needs.
